Data collected

The only personal data tied to an individual is what you send us voluntarily, by e-mail, through the contact form or by subscribing to the Daily Brief: name, organisation, professional e-mail address, phone number where given, and the content of your message. These submissions are stored in a password-protected database hosted in Europe, accessible only to the team, together with an anonymised fingerprint of the IP address, used to block abusive submissions. The hosting provider may keep technical connection logs (IP address, timestamp) for service security.

Audience measurement

We measure traffic to the site in two ways, neither of which serves advertising.

An in-house counter, hosted on our own servers, records each page view: the date, the page path, the site you came from, the browser language and the device type. No cookie is set for this and your IP address is never kept: it is used only, together with the browser's user agent and a server-side secret, to compute a non-reversible fingerprint that changes every day and prevents the same visitor from being counted twice. URL query parameters — and therefore any personal token carried in a link — are stripped before anything is recorded. This data is kept for twelve months.

Google Analytics 4 is also used, with Google Consent Mode: until you accept, no measurement cookie is set and no data is tied to your browser. The banner shown on your first visit lets you accept or decline; your choice is kept on your device and you can change it at any time. IP anonymisation is enabled. We use the tool to understand our site's audience, never for targeted advertising, and we do not share this data for advertising purposes.

These measurements are also exported daily to our own Google BigQuery warehouse, hosted in Europe (Belgium), so that we can analyse them ourselves rather than depend on an interface. That warehouse belongs to ALGORIA FACTORY; its contents are accessible only to the team and follow the same retention periods.

The Daily Brief

Subscription to the daily newsletter uses double opt-in: your address is activated only once you have clicked the confirmation button in the e-mail we send you. We keep the address, the language, the editions chosen and an anonymised fingerprint of the subscribing IP address. Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe link, with no password or reason required. The daily page is neither public nor indexed: it opens through a signed, dated link valid for twenty-four hours. These addresses are neither sold, nor transferred, nor used for anything other than sending the Brief.

Purposes and legal bases

To answer your request, organise a demonstration and, where relevant, take steps towards a contract: the legal basis is the steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract and our legitimate interest in answering it. To send you the Daily Brief: the legal basis is your consent, confirmed by the second click and which you can withdraw at any time with a single click. To measure traffic to the site: for the in-house counter, our legitimate interest in understanding the audience of our publications; for Google Analytics, your consent.

Retention

Requests received through the form are kept for twelve months, then deleted unless a business relationship has begun. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the request and, if a business relationship is established, for its duration plus statutory limitation periods.

Recipients

Data is processed by the ALGORIA FACTORY team. It is neither sold nor transferred. Our technical providers (site hosting, e-mail, scheduling) access it only as needed for the service.

Transfers

Data may be hosted by providers located outside Tunisia, under appropriate contractual safeguards.

Your rights

Under Tunisian Organic Law No. 2004-63 on the protection of personal data and, for European Union residents, the GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification and erasure, the right to object and the right to restriction of processing.
